Chi Won Ahn received his PhD. in Materials Science and Engineering from KAIST. He was a Research Fellow of Materials Research Institute at KUN, Nijmegen (2003) and Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, TU Delft in the Netherlands (2005). He joined the Nanomaterials group at NNFC in 2006. He is a director of FIRST Nano Co-op Center (Global Research & Development Center Program, K-NRF) at NNFC and adjunct professor at KAIST. His research interests include in-situ observation of nanoscale phenomena, structure control of various nanomaterials (nanocluster, graphene, Mxenes, nanowire, and nanofiber, et al.), solid state nano-pore, and applications of nanomaterials and nanotechnology to nano-instrumentations, nano-energy and nano-sensor devices, et al.

Jeonghyun Kim received his M.S. degree in II-IV compound semiconductor from Inha University in 1987. He joined the LG Display in 1990. His research focuses on the development of technology of flat panel displays such as TFT-LCD, AMOLED, 3D Display and their manufacturing process. In 2015 he received an award of Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy for outstanding contributing in the Korea display industry. Since 2012 he is the Head of TFD (Transparent Flexible Display) Biz operation group.

Prof. Changhee Lee received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Univ. of California at Santa Barbara in 1994. After working as an OLED project leader in LG Chem. (1994-1997) and professor of Physics in Inha University (1997-2004), he moved to School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Seoul National University in 2004. He served as a Vice Dean for Research Affairs in College of Engineering (2013–2015) and received Merck Award (2014), "The Scientist of the Month" Award (July 2015) and Order of Science and Technology Merit (2017). In 2016, he was selected as a Fellow of Society for Information Display and member of Korean Academy of Science and Technology. His research interests are device physics of organic semiconductors and nanomaterials and their applications to optoelectronics devices such as OLEDs, quantum dot LEDs, organic solar cells, and OTFTs, etc.

Dr. Armin Wedel studied physics at the University of Rostock. In 1992 he received his Ph.D degree on the subject of "charge storage in polymers". From 1986 to 1991 he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry of the Academy of Science in Teltow. Since 1992 he has been working at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research in Teltow, later in Potsdam in different positions. He also works at the University of Sheffield at several research stays. He dealt with nonlinear optical properties of side-chain polymers and worked as a researcher on the subject of polymeric light-emitting diodes (1994), organic photovoltaics (1999) and organic electronics (2001). Now he is responsible for the development of technology of organic light emitting diodes and organic photovoltaics and has established the topic of quantum dots for display technology at the Fraunhofer IAP in 2009 together with the Korean Electronics Technology Institute (KETI). Since 2006 he is the Head of Functional Materials and Devices and Division Director for Functional Polymer Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research in Potsdam. He holds more than 18 patents, 70 publications in various journals and is on the board of the German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF e.V.) and the Mid-Europe Chapter of the Society for Information Display (SID) operates. In 2012 he received an award of the Korean Society Display (Korean Information Display Society) for outstanding achievements in the field of synthesis and application of environmentally friendly quantum dots (QD) for display technology.

Jochen Feldmann is full professor at LMU Munich. His research focuses on nano-plasmonics, semiconductor optics and applications of semiconductor nanocrystals. Jochen Feldmann worked as a post-doctoral researcher at AT&T Bell Labs and as a visiting scientist at JILA and UCLA. He received many prestigious awards such as the Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz Prize, the Walter-Schottky Award, and an ERC Advanced Investigator Grant. Up to now JF has co-authored more than 350 publications with an overall h-index of 82.

In 2006, he started his graduate study in University of California, Berkeley under Ph.D advisor Prof. A. Paul Alivisatos. He received Samsung Lee Gun Hee Scholarship for his Ph.D study in chemistry. After he finished his Ph.D in 2012, he has been a Postdoc in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University, under Prof. David Weitz. Then, he continued to work in the same institute as a Research Associate from 2015. In 2016, he started an Assistant Faculty position in SNU.

Peter Reiss graduated from University of Karlsruhe (TH), Germany, and received his PhD (Inorganic Chemistry) in 2000 before moving to France to join CEA Grenoble. His research focuses on all aspects of chemical synthesis, functionalization and applications of semiconductor nanocrystals as well as on hybrid perovskites. He has co-authored more than 100 research papers, patents and book chapters and serves as Associate Editor for Sci. Rep. and Nanoscale Res. Lett.

Dr. Benoit Dubertret obtained his PhD from University Louis Pasteur in 1998 (Dr. N. Rivier). After a post-doc training at the Rockefeller University (Prof. A. Libchaber), he joined the CNRS in 2002 at ESPCI, in Paris, where he set up a team working on semiconductor nanoparticles and their applications. His research interests include synthesis and spectroscopy of shape-controlled semiconductor and metal nanostructures and applications for bio-imaging, light emission (LEDs) and photo-detection.

Taeghwan Hyeon received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from U. Illinois in 1996 and joined the faculty of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Seoul National University in 1997. His research focuses on the synthesis and applications of uniform-sized nanoparticles. He authored over 300 papers in highly reputed journals and ranked 37th among “Top 100 Chemists” of the decade in 2011. He currently serves as Director of Center for Nanoparticle Research of Institute for Basic Science and an Associate Editor of J. Am. Chem. Soc.
